- Food For the Needy:
Food collected by St. Philip & St. James Church is given to Catholic Charities Food Bank on Jersey Ave, Phillipsburg, to assist local families who
are in need. Food is collected the first Sunday of each month in the Church at the Masses. Items should be placed before the altar or in the boxes
inside the back entrances.
Cans are placed at all exits once a month after Masses to collect for Missionaries around the world who are in need of financial support.
- Second Collections:
Second collections are separated from first collections and counted. The total amount from the collection is given in one total check to the
designated recipient. If the collection is designated to a particular church fund, the total amount is placed into that section of the church's account
for the intended use.
- Online donation system:
Online donations may be made at any time. You may create a recurring payment if you would like to use the system for your weekly/monthly offertory
donation or you can donate a single time. You also have the choice to register or make anonymous donations. Currently, the system does not include holy day collections or
second collections. Online donations are credited to your tax statement for the end of the year (except when made anonymously), and each user can
change his or her preferences or amounts at any time.
