Dear Family!

Happy Father’s Day to all the fathers! We thank God for placing fathers in the family as a sign of God’s enduring love and constant protection. May fathers everywhere be faithful to the examples shown in the scriptures: steadfast in love, forgiving and sustaining forces in their families by caring for those in need. We ask God to grant wisdom to fathers so that they may encourage and guide their children.

Our wholistic growth in life centers around the ‘Kingdom of God’. In chapter 4, Jesus gives four parables—the Sower (4:1-20), the Lamp under a Bushel (4:21-25), the Growing Seed (4:26-29), and the Mustard Seed (4:30-32) - and then explains his use of parables. He speaks the four parables in the presence of the crowds but explains them only to his disciples (4:10 ff.; 4:34).

Ezekiel’s prophesy in the first reading is being fulfilled in Jesus as the ‘crest’ is the royal house of David and ‘cedar tree’ is the Kingdom of Israel. Ezekiel’s message of hope came when there was absolutely no humanly possibility of establishing a kingdom, but after all these years, we believe that the promise of God continues to inspire us and give us the firm hope. We witness that the Kingdom of God is in us and among us.

The Sacraments are sure signs that announces the presence of the Kingdom of God and a continuous invitation to be part of it. We become wholistic Christians through the Sacraments to be part of the Kingdom of God. That is why the Eucharist is the Source and Summit. Material wealth and prosperity are important but growth in spiritual life is more important than money. Jesus said, ‘Seek first the Kingdom and His righteousness, an all these things will be given to you” (Matthew 6:33)

Farewell for Fr. Wilson Jerusalem
As per the decision of our Bishop and by the direction of Fr. Wilson’s Bishop, Fr. Wilson will be returning to his home diocese. We wish him well and thank him for his ministry in our parish. We will have a farewell gathering for Fr. Wilson on Sunday, June 23rd after the 11am Mass in Mercy Hall. All are welcome! Please pray for Fr. Wilson as he returns to his home country and his future ministry.

Resignation of our Principal: The school completed its academic year on June 10th. To all our surprise, our Principal rendered her resignation for valid reasons and will be moving on to her next assignment. We thank Mrs. Bell for her dedication and service to our school. The School Advisory Council met with all the staff in the school and discussed a future course of action. Our next step will be forming a search committee to identify the next principal. Please pray for Patty as she makes her transition and from our school. We wish all our teachers the best. We pray that they have a good break in summer. Let us also remember all our children who completed their school year, may they have a good summer vacation!

Chapel Renovation: My sincere thanks to Michael Michnej and the generosity of his family in order to complete this project in time. We also thank those who have donated towards this project. We have completed this important project completely with donations and volunteers. Thank you for your support and prayers.

Our new Parochial Vicar is Fr. John Fredy Triana Beltran
Fr. Fredy was ordained by our Bishop on August 22, 2020 at the National Blue Army Shrine of Our Lady of Fatima. He belongs to The Oratory of St. Philip Neri. After his assignment as the Vice Rector of the Shrine Chapel of the Blessed Sacrament, Raritan, our Bishop appointed Fr. Fredy as the Parochial Vicar of Immaculate Conception Parish in Spotswood, NJ. Father will be here on July 6th. There will be a welcoming ceremony for Father after the 11am Mass on Sunday, July 7th. Please come and welcome Father as he starts his ministry at our parish.

Bible Study on The Acts of the Apostles: Our bible study will complete Acts of the Apostles on June 20th and after the summer break will resume with an Old Testament book. Please see the bulletin for updates.

Eucharistic Renewal: Our Eucharistic Revival Seminar on Wednesday, June 12th at 6:30pm continued to reflect on important questions centered around the Eucharist. I thank all the volunteers who helped us in hosting the event. The details of the next seminar will be announced next week. I continue to encourage you to be part of this important community learning.

Bishop’s Appeal: My sincere thanks to all of you for supporting our Bishop’s annual appeal 2024. So far we have pledged $53,562 which is 68% of our goal ($78,000). Thank you for your generosity. I strongly encourage you to support our Bishop and all the people who are going to be benefitting from this appeal.

¡Querida familia!

¡Feliz Día del Padre a todos los padres! Damos gracias a Dios por colocar a los padres en la familia como señal del amor perdurable y la protección constante de Dios. Que los padres de todo el mundo sean fieles a los ejemplos que se muestran en las Escrituras: firmes en el amor, perdonadores y sustentadores de las fuerzas de sus familias cuidando a los necesitados. Pidamos a Dios que conceda sabiduría a los padres para que puedan animar y guiar a sus hijos.

Nuestro crecimiento integral en la vida se centra en el "Reino de Dios". En el capítulo 4, Jesús da cuatro parábolas: el sembrador (4:1-20), la lámpara debajo del almud (4:21-25), la semilla que crece (4:26-29) y la semilla de mostaza (4: 30-32)—y luego explica su uso de parábolas. Habla las cuatro parábolas en presencia de la multitud, pero las explica sólo a sus discípulos (4:10 ss.; 4:34).

La profecía de Ezequiel en la primera lectura se está cumpliendo en Jesús ya que la “cresta” es la casa real de David y el “cedro” es el Reino de Israel. El mensaje de esperanza de Ezequiel llegó cuando no había absolutamente ninguna posibilidad humana de establecer un reino, pero después de todos estos años, creemos que la promesa de Dios continúa inspirándonos y dándonos la esperanza firme. Somos testigos de que el Reino de Dios está en nosotros y entre nosotros.

Los Sacramentos son signos seguros que anuncian la presencia del Reino de Dios y una invitación continua a ser parte de él. Nos convertimos en cristianos holísticos a través de los Sacramentos para ser parte del Reino de Dios. Por eso la Eucaristía es Fuente y Cumbre. La riqueza material y la prosperidad son importantes, pero el crecimiento en la vida espiritual es más importante que el dinero. Jesús dijo: “Buscad primeramente el Reino y su justicia, y todas estas cosas os serán dadas” (Mateo 6:33).

Despedida del P. Wilson Jerusalén
Por decisión de nuestro Obispo y por dirección del P. El obispo de Wilson, el p. Wilson regresará a su diócesis de origen. Le deseamos lo mejor y le agradecemos por su ministerio en nuestra parroquia. Tendremos una reunión de despedida para el P. Wilson el domingo 23 de junio después de la misa de las 11 am en Mercy Hall. ¡Todos son bienvenidos! Por favor oren por el P. Wilson por su regreso a su país de origen y a su futuro ministerio.

Renuncia de nuestra Directora: La escuela completó su año académico el 10 de junio. Para nuestra sorpresa, nuestra directora presentó su renuncia por motivos válidos y pasará a su próxima asignación. Agradecemos a la Sra. Bell por su dedicación y servicio a nuestra escuela. El Consejo Asesor Escolar se reunió con todo el personal de la escuela y discutió un curso de acción futuro. Nuestro próximo paso será formar un comité de búsqueda para identificar al próximo director. Por favor oren por Patty mientras hace su transición y desde nuestra escuela. Deseamos lo mejor a todos nuestros profesores. Rezamos para que tengan un buen descanso en verano. Nuestro nuevo Vicario Parroquial es el P. John Fredy Triana Beltrán
P. Fredy fue ordenado por nuestro Obispo el 22 de agosto de 2020 en el Santuario Nacional “Blue Army” de Nuestra Señora de Fátima. Pertenece al Oratorio de San Felipe Neri. Después de su asignación como Vicerrector de la Capilla del Santísimo Sacramento, Raritan, nuestro Obispo nombró al P. Fredy como Vicario Parroquial de la Parroquia Inmaculada Concepción en Spotswood, NJ. El padre estará aquí el 6 de julio. Habrá una ceremonia de bienvenida para el Padre después de la Misa de las 11 am el domingo 7 de julio. Por favor vengan y den la bienvenida al Padre cuando comienza su ministerio en nuestra parroquia.

Estudio Bíblico sobre Los Hechos de los Apóstoles: Nuestro estudio bíblico finalizará Hechos de los Apóstoles el 20 de junio y después de las vacaciones de verano se reanudará con un libro del Antiguo Testamento. Consulte el boletín para obtener actualizaciones.

Renovación Eucarística: Nuestra charla de Avivamiento Eucarístico el miércoles 12 de junio continuó reflexionando sobre cuestiones importantes centradas en la Eucaristía. Agradezco a todos los voluntarios que nos ayudaron a organizar el evento. Los detalles del próximo seminario se anunciarán la próxima semana. Sigo animándote a ser parte de este importante aprendizaje comunitario.
